If I Was Asked To Dream...™ We have set our sights on the future, and this a sneak peak of things to come. Within the next few months, Rising Oak Foundation will be developing the curriculum for "The Dragonfly Personal Enrichment Program"™ and the "Dragonfly Summer Enrichment Camp - (10) Days to Transformation"™. "If I Was Asked To Dream..."™ is the pilot program we are launching to roll-out and perfect the first (3) components of our program curriculum. An outline of our workshop structured program, as well as an itemized "materials list" is provided below for your review. Our main objectives are to ensure that each of you will be able to: 1. See and appreciate yourself from the inside out. 2. Clearly articulate your dreams. 3. Develop an action plan to turn your dreams into reality, and 4. Use our (3) Step Process over and over again, as you grow and mature. STEPS OF THE PROCESS Our first (3) steps of the process include: I. My Two Eyes Are Miracles a. I See Me From The Inside – Out (Mirror Exercise) i. Teach/Show/Model how to get into your “Heart Space.” 1. Talk about the difference between being in your head v. your heart. 2. Write and talk about how it feels. b. I Love My Gifts And Talents i. Explain what gifts and talents are. ii. From your “Heart Space” think about what your gifts and talents are. 1. Don’t self-edit (negative talk) iii. Make a list of your top 3-5 gifts and talents. c. All My Challenges Are Blessings Too i. Define “challenges.” 1. What are some of yours? ii. Make a list of your top 3-5 challenges (things that are hard for you). 1. Don’t let it mean anything bad or negative about yourself. These are just areas that you have to work on. d. I Am Unique i. Discuss what it means to be unique. ii. Repeat the Mirror Exercise. iii. From your “Heart Space” review what you’ve learned about yourself, and all the wonderful things they say about you. iv. With the available art supplies create a self-portrait. Show us who you see, when you look at yourself from your “Heart Space.” 1. Remember that you are a gift, a blessing and a miracle all on your own. There is no one exactly like you; you are unique. No one on this Earth can do or be you, as well as you. 2. Giving to Receive a. What Does “Giving To Receive” mean? i. Write down the definition. ii. Give an example of how you have practiced “giving to receive.” b. Volunteerism i. Write down the definition. ii. Make a list of (3) examples of volunteerism. c. Philanthropy i. Write down the definition. e. Divine Stewardship i. Write down the definition.f. I Can Change The World i. World (International) View ii. National Perspective iii. Local Outlook iv. If I Could Give Anything… 1. Define mapping.2. Map Out What You Can Give Today: internationally, nationally and locally. 3. Create a Community Vision Board. a. Use your mapping project to help you choose the images for your community vision board. 3. If I Was Asked To Dream… a. If I Could Do Anything… i. Discuss the difference between “doing” and “being.” ii. What will your legacy be? 1. Discuss what a legacy is or can be. iii. Write your own obituary. 1. Discuss what an obituary is and what is usually in one. 2. At the end of your life what would you most want to be remembered for? (This is the focus of your obituary). b. I Have A Plan That I Can See i. Review your obituary and pull out the main themes. 1. Make a list of those main themes. ii. Create a Personal Vision Board.1. Use you list to select your images and words. c. I Am Walking It Out i. What can you do today to make your dreams a reality?ii. Make a list of your next 3-5 steps, to get you from here to your goal. 1. Use your obituary and vision board to help you figure out your first few steps.
